What is 441 grade Stainless Steel?
441 is classified as a Ferritic stainless steel, which exhibits magnetic properties. It is important to note that the magnetic nature of stainless steel does not indicate poor quality. In fact, magnetic stainless steel, like 441, can perform exceptionally well in specific applications and even outperform non-magnetic stainless steel. The perception that magnetic stainless steel is inferior is misleading and should not be considered as a measure of quality.
How does 441 hold up with our harsh Australian conditions?
441 stainless steel offers exceptional properties that are hard to match. When compared to 409 stainless steel, 441 grade surpasses it in terms of oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, and high temperature strength. The corrosion resistance in stainless steels is primarily attributed to the chromium content. While our competitors use 409 grade stainless steel with a chromium content of no more than 11.75%, our premium 441 grade stainless steel boasts a minimum chromium content of 18%.
One of the standout features of 441 grade stainless steel is its ability to withstand heat and stress cracks, thanks to the presence of Niobium and Titanium. These elements contribute to improved formability and effective heat dispersion within the material. With these advantageous properties, 441 stainless steel sets itself apart in terms of performance and reliability.

DOES SIZE MATTER?
"Why We Choose 2 3/4'' Over 3''
This is undoubtedly one of the most common questions we encounter, and we're thrilled to shed light on the topic!
When it comes to exhaust systems, their primary purpose is to efficiently expel hot and harmful exhaust gases from the engine, minimize engine noise, and reduce emissions. While many argue that increasing the diameter of the tubing and opting for free-flow mufflers is the key to achieving these improvements by reducing exhaust back pressure, the reality is more nuanced. The ultimate goal is to optimize gas flow and minimize resistance, allowing the exhaust gases to be swiftly extracted from the engine. This means that the popular belief that "bigger is better" doesn't always hold true. In fact, the ideal diameter of the exhaust tubing varies depending on factors such as engine RPM and load, which dictate the amount of exhaust gas produced.
In the case of smaller turbo diesel motors ranging from 2L to 3.5L, they don't necessitate excessively large-diameter exhausts. Our dedicated team has conducted extensive testing on these smaller motors to attain the best possible performance. Through rigorous research and experimentation with various tube sizes, we have consistently found that 2 3/4" diameter tubing emerges as the top performer in most cases. This careful selection is backed by empirical evidence and ensures optimal performance for your vehicle.
At Beaudesert Exhaust, we pride ourselves on providing exhaust systems that are tailored to the unique needs of each engine, resulting in superior performance and overall satisfaction. Rest assured that our commitment to research and development enables us to deliver the perfect balance between exhaust diameter and gas flow for maximum efficiency and power output.
DPF DELETE PIPE?
At Beaudesert Exhaust, we prioritize compliance with Australian and Emissions Standards, ensuring the legality and roadworthiness of vehicles. It's important to note that we do not produce or offer any DPF delete pipes.
Under these standards, severe penalties apply to both vehicle owners and companies involved in the removal of DPFs. If a vehicle was originally manufactured with a DPF, it must remain intact to comply with roadworthiness regulations on all Australian roads. Removing the DPF not only violates these standards but also renders any warranty claims with the manufacturer or insurance claims void.
We are committed to promoting responsible and legal practices in the automotive industry, and we strongly advise against any modifications that compromise emissions control systems. Our focus is on providing high-quality exhaust systems that enhance performance while adhering to all regulatory requirements, ensuring a reliable and compliant driving experience.
DO BEAUDESERT EXHAUST SYSTEMS INCLUDE THE DUMP PIPE?
Absolutely! Our exhaust systems designed for turbo diesel vehicles are specifically designed to connect directly to the turbocharger. This means that the dump pipe is included in the system, providing optimal performance and flow (Please note that this excludes vehicles equipped with diesel particulate filters (DPF)).
To enhance the functionality and convenience of our systems, we also provide a provision for fitting an Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) gauge. This provision, in the form of a 1/4" gas BSP fitting, allows for easy installation of an EGT gauge to monitor exhaust temperatures accurately.
Furthermore, we take pride in ensuring the durability and longevity of our exhaust systems. That's why all our dump pipes come standard with ceramic coating, which not only enhances their visual appeal but also provides excellent heat insulation and corrosion resistance.
DO BEAUDESERT EXHAUST SYSTEMS INCLUDE A MUFFLER?
Certainly! When you purchase our exhaust system, it will come equipped with a perforated straight-through muffler. This specialized muffler design effectively minimizes noise levels while ensuring maximum flow throughout the system. By allowing smooth and unrestricted airflow, our muffler optimizes the performance of your vehicle.
In addition to the muffler, certain vehicles may also have a resonator included in the system. The resonator helps reduce noise levels by creating a harmonious and pleasant exhaust sound without compromising the performance gains provided by our exhaust system.
Rest assured that our exhaust systems are designed to provide the perfect balance between noise reduction and optimal flow, resulting in an enhanced driving experience for you.

WHAT KIND OF INCREASES CAN I EXPECT BY FITTING A BEAUDESERT EXHAUST SYSTEM?
Based on feedback from our valued customers, it has been reported that our exhaust systems can deliver noticeable improvements in performance and fuel efficiency. On average, customers have experienced a power increase of around 10-12% and a fuel economy improvement of up to 8-10%.
For vehicles equipped with a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter), the power and fuel economy gains range from approximately 5-6%. It's important to note that these results may vary depending on factors such as driving style, vehicle usage, and any additional aftermarket accessories that may be installed.
At Beaudesert Exhaust, we prioritise customer satisfaction and strive to provide products that deliver tangible benefits. While individual results may vary, our exhaust systems are designed to optimise performance and fuel efficiency for a wide range of driving conditions.
WILL A CUSTOM OR AFTER-MARKET SYSTEM BE ANY LOUDER THEN THE STANDARD?
Our exhaust systems are designed with the goal of maintaining a quiet operation. For turbo diesel vehicles, we typically utilize one or two mufflers (depending on the specific vehicle) to effectively reduce noise levels. Our preferred choice is a perforated straight-through muffler, which efficiently absorbs sound and eliminates any unwanted droning inside the cabin.
In the case of petrol and non-turbo diesel vehicles, our exhaust systems incorporate two mufflers, both perforated and straight-through, along with a rear resonator. This combination is specifically designed to minimize excessive noise and drone commonly associated with these vehicle types.
By utilizing these muffler configurations and resonators, we ensure that our exhaust systems deliver a quiet and pleasant driving experience across different vehicle models and engine types.
AM I ABLE TO ORDER MY SYSTEM WITHOUT A MUFFLER?
We offer the flexibility for you to customize your system according to your preferences. If you prefer to order your system without a muffler, it is absolutely possible. Our systems typically come with a standard muffler or resonator, depending on the specific system.
If you desire a deeper exhaust note, we can replace the muffler section with a resonator upon your request. This will provide a distinct sound profile to your system. Additionally, for those seeking a more aggressive off-road experience, we also offer a no muffler pipe option. However, it's important to note that the no muffler pipe is specifically recommended for off-road use only and is at the discretion of the customer.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO FIT THE SYSTEM?
The installation time for our exhaust systems may vary depending on the specific vehicle and its condition. The most time-consuming aspect is usually removing the old system, especially if the nuts and bolts have been in place for a long time. In such cases, the process can take some time. On average, the installation of our systems typically takes around 4-5 hours, assuming there are no unexpected complications.
It's important to note that the installation timeframe may differ for different systems, as each system has its own unique requirements.

WILL FITTED ACCESSORIES SUCH AS LONG-RANGE FUEL TANKS, SIDE STEPS OR GAS TANKS ETC. AFFECT INSTALLING A SYSTEM?
Our exhaust systems are designed to align with the original system's route and are intended for use with standard, unmodified vehicles. If you have additional accessories installed on your vehicle, such as long-range fuel tanks, extra water tanks, toolboxes, spare tires, side steps, or rear bars, there is a possibility that they may interfere with the original system as well as our exhaust systems.
While we do manufacture alternative parts to accommodate certain aftermarket accessories, there are cases where a custom solution is required. In such situations, we recommend bringing your vehicle to our workshop, where our experienced team can assess the situation and customise the route of the new system accordingly. It's important to note that additional charges for labour and materials may apply in these instances.
If you have specific concerns regarding the compatibility of our exhaust systems with your vehicle's accessories, we encourage you to contact our office. Our knowledgeable staff will be happy to discuss your situation in detail and provide guidance on the best course of action to meet your needs.
